Bought this as a gift for my wife and, overall, she is pleased with the product. She had been looking for a magnifier for sometime and couldn't find one that was portable and affordable. The magnifiers reviewed at the stores ran anywhere from $50 (very cheap plastic) to $300 (large, with light) for the professional. This magnifier met all her requirements -less than $75, fits nicely on her craft desk, portable, and has sufficient manification to do her bead work. I would definitely recommend it for the hobbyist who is looking for a good magnifier at a reasonable price.

I'm a proud owner of this magnifier. I have it on the edge of my office desk and you wouldn't believe how many compliments I receive on it from my co-workers and clients. It's very well made - the solid base keeps the magnifier steady no matter how you bend the arm or turn the lens & the magnification on it is great!
