I bought the Lap Topper Lap Desk after reading the reviews here. It arrived quickly. It's well made and I'm happy I bought it. My laptop fits on it nicely (17" screen)I just removed the cup holder (that can be removed and replaced easily). The bottom of the lap desk is soft and comfy. The cushioned rim around the top keeps the laptop from moving. It's also a great tray to use when eating a meal. I'm going to buy another one for my 8 year-old grandson for Christmas.

I bought this lapdesk for my fiance. He used to keep his laptop on the coffee table and contort his body to see the screen. He never used to like to keep the laptop on his lap because it would get too hot! Now he uses this all the time.
This desk is well made, of good materials. Great design.
The cushion on the bottom makes it very comfortable to keep on your lap. The plastic desktop is sturdy and does not heat up from the laptops. In fact, I find the laptops stay cooler on this lapdesk than on regular desktops.
The desktop and cupholder are EASILY removable for cleaning. The large lip around the edge of the desk keeps the laptop from slipping off, no matter what angel your legs are.
You can even flip the desktop over to place the cupholder on whichever side is comfortable for you.
I have a 15" laptop, and my fiance has a 17", both fit on here with room to spare. You just need to remove the cupholder for the larger of the two.

The best solution is a portable Laptop Desk or Lap Desk. These desks take up very little space. You can even buy ones that fold up. Most of the lap desks are very light weight and easy to handle. The laptop lap desks are also very affordable. They come in a variety of colors and sizes and also have ones with adjustable heights.
