This is exactly what I had in mind. And, might I say that the manufacturer is very helpful. I'm a girl and even though it is easy to put together, I needed assistance and they were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this product to you should you need a handy over the bed computer table. I use mine on the couch so I am comfortable in my living room with the family.
