The light is clear and covers any part of a desk desired (but only the desk, which is what it is advertised to do). Brightness control works well, and most importantly, the lamp generates almost no heat at all. Product does what it is advertised to do, and arrived well packed and complete in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with the purchase. Only negative is that it is possibly a little overpriced, but it does seem to be of good quality.

Maybe the lantern goes off after it has been on too long, but I wanted a lantern my daughter could keep on all night...this one goes off and the battery compartment cover even gets warm to the touch. Also the battery compartment could be easy for a child to access.

Purchased a black model of the IMG lamp. Took a week to get a ship notice, then it did not arrive within the estimated time. Turns out the lamp was air shipped from China, bus arrived without any damage and in working condition.



The lamp has 10 LEDs in two lines of 5 each. color output is mixed between warm white and bright white.



The design is unusual, really catches people's eye. There are three controls built into the base of the unit: 1- power on/off; 2- Brightness (to the left side of the power touch switch, sliding your finger outward increases the lighting level; and 3- color temp/warmth. Sliding to the right of the power switch, sliding outward increases the brightness of the 5 warm white LEDs.



The unit is mostly polished plastic, with good adjustability from the base and the head where the LEDs are mounted. It really runs cool, not warmth to be felt after running all day.



I am pleased with the unit, and hope it runs a long time......one question, why is the Black model less costly on Amazon than the whtie or red units?

I love this light. I just wish they weren't so expensive. It comes with a base that you must drill a hole for in whatever you plan to mount it to but, in my mind, that just adds to its flexibility. I'm using mine in my garage attached to the side of a cabinet above my workbench. I can position it anywhere I need it. I plan on buying another and mounting it to my equipment rack in my media room. I need the extra light when making connections to the back of my A/V gear. Great light!

The blue light through the fibers is plenty light in a dark room. Of course I wish there were more fibers, and perhaps there are other lamps available with more, but this one works fine. It is battery operated, and thus it is mobile, which is a good idea if you have kids who like to wave it around and play with it. The bottom-heavy stand keeps it upright. So far, none of the fibers have become bent or tangled. Recommended.

After living with and replacing high temperature halogen lamps for 10 years I thought I'd try a different lighting technology. I chose the daylight bulbs that provide the highest wattage equivalent. It took a couple of weeks to get used to the spectrum of light, and it certainly didn't come close to lighting up the room as a halogen lamp would. However, I really love it, the dimmer function, the functionality of the light bar is quite nice with a 360 degree spin capability.



The Koncept LED floor model is quite spare in its design. It was simple to put together. It came packaged in an engineered box insert that would be handy for a return. I won't be returning mine and would love to buy more LED technology lighting products as they improve and come down in price. The desk Z-Bar lamp may be my next Koncept purchase.



I would highly recommend this lamp.

Very nice lamp -- sleek and attractive, good engineering, good lighting. Good solid feel, good stiffness in the joints so the lamp poses well. The power lead is far too short -- needs to be at least double the length. Product pricing is at the edge of pain -- $20-30 cheaper and I would probably buy more than one unit.

A great light to read by. The only noticeable point of concern is the lack of consistency in the color temperature of the LEDs. Some are of a "hotter" color temperature than others, but this difference is only noticed when looking directly at the LEDs themselves. There is no discernible mottling of color in the light shown onto surfaces - the light pattern is fairly even despite the LED temperature variation. The light produced is still "warm" and desirable over the cool white LEDs.

We purchased the I-Tower first at MOMA store in NYC, but the light was to white, So we returned it. Then we found one with a more natural (less white light) online. after we plugged it in, it started to change the intencity on the lights by itself. And this version only has 6 lights vs. the previous version with 66 LED's. The lamp looks nice, but I had to send it back due to it's not working. Waiting for a new lamp to be sent back to me, hopefully this one will work.

I got a Z-bar LED light a year ago .. and was very happy with it. But don't expect 10-15 years. My older Z-Bar had 40 smaller LEDs .. of which 1/3 have already burned out! So there is less light now and with the new, more expensive model that has just a few LEDs .. I have no idea how long this product will actually last.

 "Awesome Design, But Expensive, Flimsy, and Poor Light Output" 2009-09-10

I ordered this lamp as primary work area lighting over my desk. The base is very elegant, but I opted to use the clamp attachment instead and attached it to the base of some blinds as my desk is right next to a window. The clamp itself is simple, but worked just fine and is sturdy, and I have no complaints about it (with luck my image should show for this product). The lamp on the other hand is a whole different story.



First of all, this lamp cost $170, and with such a high price tag for a relatively simple product one would expect to get something of a high quality. The biggest problem is in the joints, I was under the appearance that they would move smoothly and stay where positioned as images would have you believe. Instead, all the joints except for the one closest to the base are extremely lax, if you move it and let it go it will fall immediately to a position about 15 degrees below where you positioned it, meaning putting it into place is a game of over adjusting and hoping it "falls" into place how you like it. The 90 degree black joint (where the lights are) is even worse, this one slips about 30 degrees and popped out when I tilted it upside down (I was able to "click" it back in easily enough, and it seems to stick now).



The lighting quality is also problematic. The lamp has four power modes, and has relatively large comfortable buttons near the top to adjust the output. Unfortunately even on "high power" the lighting output is fairly dim (at anywhere between a foot to three feet away). It's enough to read for short periods of time, but quickly gets uncomfortable. Also, the light was billed as being "Warm," on the contrary the lighting color is extremely cool.



Because the design is so catching, it may be worth it as an accent light, but forget trying to use it for anything else. The lighting is too dim and adjusting the position is extremely problematic. Also the description bills it as being able to illuminate a large desk area, it isn't remotely capable of doing this. I have mine positioned about 38" high up from my desk (which is higher then it can reach when on a base), it barely illuminates a ~7 square foot area, and then dimly.
