 "Grandrih EZ Reader" 2009-12-14

I purchased this lamp and was expecting to have superior light for a long period of time.. The light lasted for approximately three months. I got sick was was unable to order a bulb for another two months.

I ordered the bulb because I thought that was the problem. Too my surprise, the lamp is at fault. I attempted to have it fixed but it costs more for repairs than

the lamp originally cost.

There are a lot of wires.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this lamp.

 "Floor lamp" 2009-12-10

I wanted a task light for my sewing machine, but I find this light is so versitile that others in the family are always "borrowing" it for their tasks. It has been a useful task light for puzzles, crafting, reading and it functions well as a task light in my sewing room when I get it back.

 "Buyer be warned" 2009-03-02
By Jane Beckwith (Indianapolis, IN USA)
I bought this lamp as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law. Less than one month after she had begun to use it, it no longer worked. I called the company and they said that the bulb probably needed to be replaced (even though their advertisement says that the bulb will burn for 10,000 hours). The representative I spoke with told me I needed to mail in the receipt for the lamp, the model number, etc. and they would ship a new bulb. I couldn't find my receipt (I had purchased the lamp a couple of months before Christmas) and so I called the company back and asked if I could just pack up the lamp and mail it to them--they said yes, but because I could not produce a receipt I would have to pay for shipping (both ways)and the cost of the bulb . My husband then got involved and he suspected that it might not be the bulb that was the problem. With a little investigating, he found that the circuit board was completely fried. I called the company back--same thing: my options were to ship the entire lamp to them at my own expense and they would install a new circuit board (and charge me for it) and charge me to ship it back, or they could ship me a new circuit board (at my expense for the part and shipping) and my husband could install it. We went with the second option and, because he is very handy, he was able to install the circuit board. I don't know, however, if just anyone could install a new circuit board in a lamp. The lamp has worked well now for about 3 weeks, but I'm wondering if we're going to encounter another problem. After saying all of this, my mother-in-law does like the lamp. But if you are going to buy one, make certain that you save the receipt forever--it's very possible that you will need it.

 "cheap item" 2009-02-15
By C. Yandow (Morgan, Vermont USA)
This is the second EZ reader I have purchased. They both were cheaply made; and even though the directions to assemble them are easy to follow, the product iteself does not assemble well. This last one is tilted because the threads do not match up. I have tried to remedy it a couple of times by disassembling and assembling it again to no avail.

"Good for Reading, White Light" 2009-01-09
By M.Bauman
This lamp provides good light for reading. However, the light produced is white and can be rather harsh if looking at it directly. This is a big contrast to softer yellow light from conventional bulbs. The price was decent for comparable products.
